If you could change anything about your smile, what would it be? Would you decide on the color, shape, alignment or size of your teeth? Or perhaps you would fix that crack or chip that’s been driving you crazy for years. The great thing about porcelain veneers is you don’t have to choose. Porcelain veneers correct a number of flaws, including yellowing, discoloration, minor alignment issues, chips, cracks, and misshaped teeth.

How do Porcelain Veneers Work?

Porcelain veneers are made of the thinnest and highest grade dental ceramics. Ultra-thin and very lightweight, they are shells that Dr. Marks fixes to your tooth’s surface. Porcelain veneers fit like sheath over the front of the tooth, and because of their wafer-thin construction, they even diffuse light, giving them a very natural appearance.

Your Porcelain Veneer Consultation

A consultation is the first step to your perfect new teeth. We’ll talk with you about your goals and expectations, and before making a final decision about your smile, you’ll be able to visualize the stunning possibilities with wax mock-ups and diagnostic models. Because your porcelain veneers are fabricated for each individual patient, they will blend seamlessly with your smile.

What to Expect During Your Porcelain Veneer Placement

At your first appointment, Dr. Marks will buff a minute amount of tooth enamel to ensure that your new smile lies perfectly in line with your existing teeth and to make sure that proper bonding occurs. We will provide you with a set of temporary veneers to wear until your custom restorations arrive.

When you return for your second visit, we’ll have your custom porcelain veneers in hand! We’ll make sure that the fit is correct and that you’re happy with the look of your new smile. Veneer placement is minimally invasive, although you may experience some sensitivity after your final appointment.
